Upgrades to Sleeper Cars or First Class are not permitted
Seat Reservations are mandatory and be must be made at least 3 days prior to travel

One complimentary stopover on is allowed on each trip. In the case of multiple stopovers, the stopover of longest duration will be considered to be the complimentary stopover.
Age restrictions for the Canrailpass:
Adults: ages 26-59
Children: ages 2-11
Students: ages 12 to 17
Seniors: aged 60 and over
Youth: ages 18-25 with photo ID
Students: ages 18+ with ISIC card
Pass must be purchased at least 3 days prior to first travel start day.
Please note: A 15% sales tax is included in all fares.
Holders of a Canrailpass must obtain a reservation for every journey by presenting their Canrailpass to an authorized VIA sales agent. Reservations must be made at least 3 days prior to traveling.
The number of places available in Comfort class for Canrailpass holders is limited. We recommend advance booking.
The Canrailpass is valid for journeys on any VIA train, and on buses providing transfer between Moncton and Saint John. It is not valid on trains and buses that are listed in the VIA timetable but operated by other companies.
The Canrailpass is valid for 7 one way trips within 21 days.
Journeys for which you buy tickets with your Canrailpass must end before midnight on the last day of validity of your pass.
